Cadiz - with its stunning Cathedral, below

Two photos of Cadiz, one showing a view of the city from the sea (above) and (below) a typical street scene showing flower
sellers.
Cadiz, as well as being Europe's oldest city, is well worth a visit for its numerous buildings of historical interest,
military history, narrow streets and stunning cathedrals, but also for its beautiful open spaces, plazas and parks.

Beaches

Just one of the many glorious, sandy beaches that are deserted for most of the year and all within
an easy drive of Vejer.

A great place to eat or enjoy a drink while watching the sunset over Los Canos de Meca

Okay, it's quite likely that you've seen donkeys on a beach before, but cows? These were grazing
on the beach at Bolonia at about 7p.m. one evening.
Bolonia is a very popular beach, a bit further away from Vejer heading south towards Tarifa.
It's right next to the Roman ruins at Baelo Claudio which are well worth seeing as you get a real sense of how a Roman town
operated.

Plaza de Espana - every town has got one and this is Vejer's
